Back to School Sunday – August 23, 2015

Back to School Sunday 2015 WEBWe’re celebrating the start of a new school year at Waterbrook this weekend! We’re blessed to have a wide variety of students and educators at all levels (preschool through grad school) and an equally wide variety of educators (home school parents, public school teachers, and college professors). We celebrate their return to the classroom with our annual BACK TO SCHOOL worship services on Sunday, August 23, 2015.

WBF Youth Pastor John Robbins will be challenging everyone to be a light wherever they go (including school, work and home). He’ll also give us insight into the ways Waterbrook is building into the lives of students this year.

We’ll end each worship service with a challenge from guest Scott Winn. (Scott is an Assistant Superintendent with Wylie ISD). Then, we conclude with prayer for all students and teachers (no matter what type or grade level).

After worship services all Waterbrook attenders are encouraged to go to a local school campus and pray for the coming year. (School starts on Monday for most of the local public schools, including Wylie ISD.) A list of Wylie schools will be available in the lobby to make sure we’re covering all the local schools. However, participants are welcome to pick schools outside Wylie ISD – especially schools near their home or where they have children attending. Prayer cards with suggestions will be available to take to school locations for prayer after services. These prayer cards include prayers that small children and older students can pray.

Our RUSH Student Band will be leading worship at all the Back to School worship services. Waterbrook Sunday worship services meet at 9:30 and 10:55 am. Waterbrook is located at 507 Thomas Street in Wylie, Texas.
