Ending a Divided Year in UNITY – Sunday, December 31, 2017

The past year has been one of division and chaos. Anger has been present in discussions much more than love. These issues of division have even crept into the church family. It’s time we take a stand against what the enemy wants to do to the witness of God’s people!

Waterbrook is excited to join with other believers from The Pursuit Christian Fellowship and GraceWord Fellowship on Sunday, December 31st, to celebrate our UNITY in CHRIST! We believe our witness to the world hinges on our ability to love one another. This is what makes the CHURCH distinct from political promises and social programs. UNITY doesn’t mean “Same”; it means caring for one another above ourselves despite our differences.

These special services will include a powerful worship time led by musicians representing each church. Pastors Rick Wood (The Pursuit) and Jeff Denton (Waterbrook) will share a message together about the call of God to unity. The service will also include a time of prayer as we seek God’s leading for unity among His people.

There will be no adult classes or teen classes during the morning services this week, but all nursery, preschool, and Splash (K-4th) classes will meet both hours. STUDENTS (7th-12th grades) are invited to a special united pizza lunch after the second service in the 200 Building to hang out and celebrate the New Year with some fun from Noon-2:00 PM.

Everyone is invited to join us as Waterbrook serves as the host location for this exciting service of UNITY on New Year’s Eve morning at 9:30 and 10:55 AM (services are identical).
