The Wave (6th-8th Grades)

The Wave ministry at Waterbrook is a group of 6th – 8th graders who meet in the WAVE room at the Waterbrook 507 Ministry Center. We meet during the second service, with a start time of 10:55. The Wave leadership consists of Jerry & Trona Jurden, Alan Greenwood, Chad and Melissa McKay.

For fun and fellowship we meet at the 507 Ministry center on the third Wednesday of most every month 7:00-8:30 for food, games, and activities. And if that’s not enough fun for you, we also meet on the first Sunday of most months to enjoy a Pizza lunch at the Jurden’s immediately after church until 2:30pm.

Some of our favorite Wave traditions are the Superstart (4-6 grade) & Believe conferences (7& 8 grade). Each is a high energy weekend event designed for the specific age group. Check out those ministries at Christ for Youth web site. There are times of corporate worship, Bible study, small group discussions, and lots of time for running around having fun playing.

You can find great information and lots of photos of our WAVE activities on our Wave Facebook page.

The Sunday morning WAVE class is currently studying through an overview of the entire Bible. We strive to make the Bible come alive to our students in ways it relates to their lives. We combine fun activities with solid Bible teaching to help our students enjoy studying God’s Word as they try to discern God’s will for their lives during what can be some confusing and turbulent years.

Below are some pictures of Wave events.
