Move Information & Important Meeting

We are fast approaching the wonderful Waterbrook move! We’re still projecting our first Sunday in the new building to be January 30th. There are many plates spinning that need to stay in the air between now and then, but it looks promising. This week we’ve seen the walls get painted and electric and gas run to the building. Excitement! But it does mean a couple things you need to know…

1) IMPORTANT Move Meeting for all Waterbrook attenders is scheduled for THIS Sunday, January 9th at 9:30 am. All adults (and teens) will meet in the auditorium at Dodd Elementary where we’ll cover some key details you’ll need to know for your first week at the new location. This includes crucial information like…why everyone is a greeter, where should you park, and where can you find a donut in the new place? (I said crucial information.) Your attendance at this meeting will help make Waterbrook run as smoothly as possible, while also making those who come feel welcome. I hope you’ll make the extra effort to join us this Sunday at 9:30.

2) There’s other important information about the move, timing, schedules, and more in the January newsletter that was in last Sunday’s bulletin. If you didn’t get a copy last week, you can go to the Waterbrook website and click “Monthly Newsletter” in the banner space of the home page OR you can click this quick link for a pdf version of the newsletter > http://www.waterbrook.org/sermons/newsletter.pdf

3) We’ll continue the “Change Ahead” series this weekend with a sermon on Relationships. In this pre-move series we’re trying to communicate what will and will not change with our move. If you missed last Sunday’s sermon on faith and change, you can view that sermon online. I believe the issues covered in last week’s sermon from Numbers 13-14 are paramount to a successful move by our church family. The link to watch that sermon is > http://www.waterbrook.org/archives/2682

4) Finally, please keep giving to the building fund. I know we’ve finished the first two phases of the capital campaign, but our financial planning has been based on the success of the third stage of giving – which goes through June. Please help us stay ahead financially as the Lord leads.

Much to do. Many details. The building is hitting a major transformation stage where everytime you walk in it will look different. The final drywall is up. A little more painting to do. Construction of the stage is starting in the auditorium. Tile is starting to go down in some areas. The ceilings are starting to be hung. Be ready for an announcement this Sunday regarding a major clean up day coming Saturday, January 15th. And get reach for the CHANGE AHEAD!

Thanks for your part in our Waterbrook family!

Jeff
