This Sunday at Waterbrook: Pokemon, Pornography & Politics

Praiseworthy – that describes what should be in the heart, mind, and mouth of the follower of Christ. Yet, we’re often plagued with anxiety, rude and crude behavior, and troublesome thoughts. If we applied the exhortations Paul wrote the church in Philippi we would likely see our cultural mindset change. We would be more discerning about what gets our attention, about what we think is appropriate, and even how we talk about people across the political aisle.

This Sunday, August 7th, Waterbrook Lead Pastor Jeff Denton looks into the understanding and applying of Philippians 4:2-9. The Apostle Paul didn’t persuade the Philippian church to ignore their earthly struggles. But he did advise them to stay focused on appropriate things as a way to deal with the garbage of this world.

Join us this Sunday as we look into this passage and how it relates to what we are experiencing in our culture. Services at Waterbrook begin at 9:30 and 10:55 AM with nursery and elementary classes both hours. Waterbrook Bible Fellowship is located at 507 Thomas Street in Wylie, Texas.
