Welcome to Waterbrook Bible Fellowship!

Thanks for stopping by to check us out …

We are a group of ordinary people from all walks of life who are united in one thing…we are here to draw closer to God. Take a few moments to explore the pages of this web site to find out more about our people, our ministries, and our beliefs.  What follows are the answers to a few of the common questions you might have as a visitor to our site.

When and where do you meet?

Our services are held 507 Thomas Street Wylie, TX 75098.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 when we have various classes, fellowship groups, and children’s Sunday School. Our Worship service begins at 10:45. Just come in the front door and you will find people there to greet you and show you around.

What should I expect on my first visit?

We want you to feel at home! The dress ranges from business casual to very relaxed. We have an awesome praise band and worship experience that is considered adult contemporary. Our messages are based on the truth from God’s Word – the Bible. Our goal is to provide answers from God’s truth that are relevant to everyday life.
When you arrive you should be greeted by a friendly face at the door. We encourage you to say hi and get to know our greeters…they love people and are genuinely glad to see you each week. As you come into the building, you will see our Visitor Kiosk. This is where you can pick up literature about all the programs and opportunities we have at Waterbrook. To your right and left are the areas for dropping off your children and straight ahead is our worship area. Our hope is that when you arrive, you will find this family of faith a place where you can worship freely, relate authentically and grow spiritually.

What programs do you have for my kids?

We have a Sunday school class for all ages at 9:30.  The children’s classes are broken down by age group (nursery, preschool, K-1, 2-3, 4-5).  Then we have a middle school ministry (grades 6-8) we call WAVE and a high school group we call the RUSH who also get together at 9:30.
During the worship service we have an awesome children’s ministry called SPLASH, for kids in grades K-5.  Our middle schoolers and high schoolers join the adults for worship.
Our WAVE kids also meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings at one of our family’s homes, and the RUSH meets every Wednesday night, with at least one special event each month.

Can you tell me something about the church leadership?

Waterbrook is committed to team leadership, and we have a wonderful group of pastors and lay leaders who see to the “big picture” and daily ministry operations.  Jeff Denton is our Lead Pastor. He and his family moved here in 2008 after nearly 20 years of ministry in Illinois.  Jeff, Don Moore and Stephen Bramer are our pastoral team.  Don Moore serves as our Pastor of Worship, Missions and Children where his passion for music, his heart for God and his love and desire to see spiritual growth in others provide the perfect God-given mix for his role at Waterbrook.  Stephen Bramer’s other job – Professor of Bible Exposition and Chair of the Department of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary - gives you a clue as to how he is equipped for his role as Teaching Pastor at Waterbrook.  Most Sundays, you can expect to see Don leading our worship team, and either Jeff or Stephen teaching from the Word in our worship service. Our pastors serve on the Elder-Staff Council with a gifted group of leaders who help oversee the health and direction of our church family. Additionally, there are many other men and women who serve publicly and behind-the-scenes to help make Waterbrook the God-honoring, loving environment we believe the New Testament church should be.
