Meet The Staff
![]() Jeff Denton – Lead PastorJeff Denton (center) is Lead Pastor of Waterbrook. He arrived in Texas after serving nearly twenty years at a church in suburban Chicago. His ministry experience has included work with people of all ages and backgrounds. His education history includes degrees in broadcast communications, religion & philosophy, and pastoral counseling & theology. His creativity mixes it all up, so we never know what he’s going to do next. His counseling program A Marriage Study: Preparation for the Wedding and Beyond (Counselor and Participant manuals) is an approved curriculum for the TwoGether in Texas program. Jeff is a registered marriage counseling facilitator with the state of Texas as part of that program. He and Deana have been married over 20 years and have two children. You can discover more about Pastor Jeff and his family at their blog Here.
Stephen Bramer – Teaching PastorStephen Bramer (left) has been with Waterbrook from its beginning as an elder and teaching pastor. Stephen is Professor of Bible Exposition and the chairman of the Bible Exposition department at Dallas Theological Seminary. Originally from Canada, we are proud to note that Stephen just became a U.S. citizen this past year. His family includes his wife Sharon and children Sarah, Charity and Joshua. Sarah, with her husband John Hau, is serving full time in campus ministry in Vancouver, B.C. Charity and husband Justin Hartweck are co-leaders of our high school ministry along with brother Joshua, a student at Criswell College.
Don Moore – Pastor of Worship, Missions, and Student MinistryDon Moore (right) has also been with Waterbrook from the begining as one of the founders of the church. Don comes to us by way of Michigan, although he has been a Texan for some time now. He is an avid basketball player, loves soccer, and enjoys spending time with his wife CIndy and three daughters Megan (and son-in-law Joey), Mandi and Mikayla. Don has a passion for music and especially as a powerful medium for praise and worship to lead us into God’s presence and enable us to fulfill our purpose of glorifying Him. Don promotes and travels with mission teams with a heart for seeing all people come into a relationship with Christ. Don also has a good friend, Mr. Headley, who shows up for the kids from time to time. (No one seems to know their exact relationship.)
Don is passionate about - leading people to the throne of grace through music and teaching. - helping people experience global and local missions. - supporting parents in helping their kids become spiritual “champions”. - loving his awesome wife, Cindy, and his three daughters (and new son-in-law)! Don has a B.S. in music education and enjoys reading, sports (participating more than watching), and is learning (slowly) to cook. Interesting facts - Don has run a marathon, rappelled into deep pits in the Smokey Mountains with no way out except up the rope, been in all 48 states of the continental U.S., traveled with a worship team of 40 through El Salvador, and has managed to keep his wits while living with four ladies (wonderful ladies – really – grins)! |
