Missions

Missions matter at Waterbrook. We know that our ability to impact this world is tied to the missionaries and organizations who have connections in their regions. It’s why we take 10% of our giving and apply it towards missions. This money goes to support our 15 missionaries around the world, short-term mission trips, and various mission projects throughout the year.

JOSHUA & HALEIGH BRAMER WORD OF LIFE - HUNGARY

Joshua and Haleigh Bramer serve with Word of Life Hungary, where Joshua faithfully leads as the Bible Institute Director. Together, Joshua and Haleigh pour into the lives of young men and women through regular discipleship, Bible studies, mentoring, and personal encouragement.

TIM & BRIANNA BUCHANAN - AVANT - MEXICO

Since their early teenage years, both Tim and Brianna felt the call to missions. They had various opportunities to take mission trips throughout young adulthood. Through these experiences, the Lord solidified their passion for cross cultural ministry and to reach the unreached with the hope of the Gospel.

After marriage, the Lord burdened their hearts for Latin America. Through much prayer, they felt the Lord calling them to go. They joined Avant Ministries and learned of the great need for the Gospel in Mexico. They will be serving as church planters in Central/South Mexico.

Christian & Meg Taylor - Greater Europe Mission

We are serving with GEM alongside Kirche Am Start in the community of Obertshausen, Germany through disciple multiplication.

Our love for Germany was planted in us many years ago. We have known that the Lord was leading us to minister there full time for about as long as we’ve been together! We tried many times to connect with a mission organization, but it never worked out. In 2018, the Lord opened the door to ministry in Germany when we came across Greater Europe Mission (GEM) and sent in an application. After many months of interviews and paperwork we went to GEM headquarters for training in June 2019. At the end of the week, after many more interviews and a lot of prayer, GEM commissioned us to serve in Frankfurt at that time and began support raising shortly after.

CLOSED COUNTRIES

Waterbrook Bible Fellowship supports mission’s groups / missionaries that serve God in a closed country.

What is a closed country you ask?

Any country or culture that forbids by force or intimidation worship of any belief but their own.

There are two main ways Christian’s experience persecution in a closed country.

Pressure – Measured in five spheres of life: Private, Family, National, Church, Community.

Violence – Based on the number of attacks and deaths due to religious belief.
